Sonnet 18 Translation

for the 8th Grade Class of Visitacion Valley Middle School

(This image was bitten from Alli Warren's [smarty-pants] post over at Harriet blog. Thanks, AW's!)

Should I say yer super smokin hot, boo?
cuz summer's nice n' all but yer hotter
fog rolls in to skuff up this bright sky's blue
SF summer's more like winter's daughter
You know how, M80's burst bright and fade?
like solar flares all huge and quickly gone
like haggard old queens gotta throw shade
good looks dry up like an unwatered lawn
But baby, you'll look good to me f'eva
like a dang Clooney, get better with age
and Death better not talk smack about you neva
When yer old and wise and smell a lot like sage

So long as cops are pigs and life ain't free
So I will cling to you and you to me
